Victron is closed on April 27th

We are not open for business on April 27th

Because of Koningsdag (Kingsday) we are closed on April 27th. The whole country will be coloured orange for the day and everyone will be celebrating the kings 50th birthday.

Africa: Distributor meeting, solar show, training and dancing!

In the week of March 27th to March 30th Victron had a successful tradeshow in African! There was the Victron Energy African distributor meeting in Sandton, the Power & Electricity World Africa Exhibition (The Solar Show) at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, and last but not least, the Victron Energy Training day at the Protea Hotel by Marriott® Johannesburg Balalaika Sandton. And of course a lot of socializing. All in all a very packed four days!  
 

Off-map – Off-grid (blogpost by Justin Tyers)

Alan Noble, who’s Google’s chief engineer for Australia and New Zealand, had a choice between putting up ‘telegraph poles’ or installing some serious off-grid power kit just where it’s needed. And as it’s the policy of the grid-power provider to cut power on days when the risk of a bush fire is high - yet if you rely on grid electricity, and it gets cut - how will you pump fire-fighting water, or operate the sprinkler system? Alan Noble chose to go off-grid.
