Firmware v3.68 builds on the improvements introduced in v3.67 to the Blue Smart IP22 single-output chargers. It further improves single-output models and now brings these improvements to the triple-output chargers as well.
This update improves charge-stage transitions and reduces voltage and current pulsing at low charge currents. The changes in this version apply only to chargers with serial numbers HQ2511 to HQ2552.
Key improvements include:
- Improved charge‑stage transitions: Fixes an issue where some chargers did not correctly switch between Bulk, Absorption, and Float stages.
- Reduced voltage and current pulsing at low charge currents: Addresses a behaviour where, at low charge currents (≈ below 5 A), larger than intended voltages and current spikes could occur at the output. These pulses could affect sensitive loads connected to the system.
- Scope limited to specific serial number ranges: The improvements apply to units with serial numbers between HQ2511 and HQ2552. Units manufactured after HQ2604 receive further improvements at the hardware level.
- Bridging the unused outputs improves the voltage/current regulation: For 12V units with a serial number between HQ2511 to HQ2552, unconnected outputs may lead to the main output voltage to be 50mV - 100mV lower, which settles at the end of the charger curve but makes the charging process last a bit longer.
