Released today, Multi RS v1.27 focuses on restoring MPPT RS communication and improving feed-in behaviour, along with several other fixes.
- Restored communication between the MPPT RS and the Multi RS/Inverter RS:
This fixes an issue introduced in v1.22 where devices could lose communication, preventing excess solar power from being fed into the grid once batteries were full. With this update, devices pair correctly again and grid feed-in works as expected.Note that operation in combination with the VE.Bus Multi (through the GX device) was not affected by this issue.
- Feed-in control for DC-coupled chargers on the Multi RS (GX, beta):
When DC sources such as an MPPT produce more power than the batteries can absorb, the Multi RS now pushes the excess energy into the grid instead of reducing solar output. This also fixes the behaviour when a Multi RS is combined with an MPPT RS.
- Clearer guidance for PV isolation errors on Multi RS and Inverter RS with Solar:
The built-in display now instructs the user to open the PV switch when a PV isolation error occurs (#41 and #42).
- Continuous output power limit for Dynamic ESS applications:
For Dynamic ESS systems, the inverter output is now limited to 100 A DC. As a result, the available AC power depends on battery voltage: 5000 W at 52 V, but around 4600 W at 46 V. When another AC source is connected to AC-out (for example an AC PV inverter), a higher power setpoint can be used, with the additional power supplied by that source while the inverter remains within the 100 A limit.
