Lynx Smart BMS (NG) v1.14 - Improved SoC accuracy and updated voltage settings

Last month, we've released the Lynx Smart BMS (NG) v1.14, introducing various improvements and bug fixes, including updates specific to the NG series.

Key Fixes & Improvements

  • More accurate State of Charge readings and improved the synchronisation (jump to 100% SoC) between the battery monitor and charger control.
  • Updated Voltage Settings:
    • Default charged voltages are now 13.9V / 27.8V / 41.7V / 55.6V. Devices using the old 14.0V setting were updated automatically, which will help the State of Charge sync to 100%.
    • Float voltage levels are now 13.5V/ 27.0V/ 40.5V/ 54.0V (depending on system configuration), aligned with the values in the manual.
  • Fixed the alarm relay that did not activate on high temperature alarms.
  • Smoother transition to float stage when used with Multi/Quattro, allowing the system more time to stabilise at the float voltage.

NG Series Improvements:

  • Fixed repeated absorption timer (default is once every 30 days)
  • Added cell-ID information for minimum and maximum cell voltages and temperatures, now visible in VRM /requires the latest GX beta firmware).
  • Added a data loop test to validate the communication interface:
    • When a loop cable is connected between the battery BMS connectors, the BMS will close the contactor, but charging and discharging remain disabled for safety.
    • The contactor will not close if the interface is not working. This test runs automatically.
