Venus OS v3.61 for Venus GX – fixes Ethernet/LAN connectivity issue
Venus OS v3.61 is now available for the Venus GX.

This update fixes the Ethernet/LAN connectivity issue introduced in v3.60, which affected some devices.

How to update

If your Venus GX is online via Wi-Fi or working Ethernet, update normally via Firmware > Online updates in the Settings menu.

If Ethernet is down and the unit is offline, connect to venus-xxxxxx Wi-Fi (password is on the device’s white label), open http://venus.local, and use one of these methods:
  • Restore: Go to: Settings > General > Firmware > Stored backup firmware to restore a previous version, or:
  • USB/SD: Download the v3.61 swu file to a USB/SD card and insert it, then go to Settings > General > Firmware > Install firmware from SD/USB

More information

For the full change log as well as .swu file, see the Venus OS folder in the firmware library on Victron Professional.

For more information, please refer to section 9, Firmware Updates, in the GX Device manuals.

Conclusion

For those sytems affected, our apologies for the trouble caused. Firmware updates resulting in loss of power or loss of connectivity are not acceptable and we're taking extra measures to prevent this from happening again.
