A few weeks ago, we introduced the SmallBMS NG, a simple and affordable BMS for Lithium NG batteries, designed for systems without VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers.

Now, we are excited to introduce the next model in the NG series: the VE.Bus BMS NG, for systems with VE.Bus inverters or inverter/chargers, like the Quattro and MultiPlus.

The NG series BMSes build on the familiar features of our existing BMSes used with Lithium Battery Smart, such as the VE.Bus BMS. An important new feature of the NG series BMSes is that the Bluetooth connection is built into BMS itself, rather than into the batteries. This means all batteries connect in one place, making monitoring easier from a central BMS.

Another key upgrade is that current measurement is built into the battery, so there’s no need to install a separate SmartShunt for current and state of charge (SoC) data. Both the SmallBMS NG and VE.Bus BMS NG receive this data directly from the batteries and display it in VictronConnect.
