Released today, VE.Bus firmware version v555 introduces two significant improvements: one for systems combining gensets with Multi and Quattro inverter/chargers, and another for the German ESS market.
  • Improved system stability in combination with certain gensets: Previously, some genset and inverter/charger combinations required enabling the Weak AC Input setting for proper operation. With this update, that is no longer necessary, resulting in a higher maximum charge current. This improvement applies when the selected grid code is "None" or "Other," which are the recommended settings for genset connections.
  • Added support for the German §14a EnWG requirement: The system can now limit battery charging to 4.2 kW via the AUX 2 port on the inverter. This functions similarly to the existing §9 EEG implementation, which uses AUX 1 to disable feed-in. The new §14a setting is enabled by default and is available in the latest VEConfigure version, released today.
