We have recently released VictronConnect App v6.10, and the main highlight of this update is the ability to connect directly to the a GX device over the LAN / WiFi network. This works just like connecting with the app to a system via VRM, displaying attached products the same way, but faster and it doesn’t require an internet connection.
This new feature simplifies system configuration by removing the need to connect to each device individually via Bluetooth. Eliminating both the Bluetooth range limitations and the time required in the pairing process.
Other key updates include:
-
Profile pictures now appear in the VRM installations list, making it easier to navigate and identify installations.
-
The settings lock feature is now easier to find. A lock icon appears on the settings page even when the lock isn’t set, giving you quicker access.
-
The product discovery troubleshooting page has been improved. You will now be notified of issues such as disabled Bluetooth or missing permissions, simplifying troubleshooting.
-
Firmware updates are now supported for EV Charging Stations. These require Bluetooth and a connection to the same LAN or WiFi network.
-
For VE.Bus Inverter/Chargers, settings are now automatically restored for standalone systems without assistants after a firmware update. This improvement significantly simplifies the update process, saving time and ensuring the system is quickly operational without requiring reconfiguration.
-
The included firmware v1.19 for the Multi RS introduces support for Europe, Belgium, and Poland Grid Codes, enabling ESS functionality and grid feed-in.
