News overview
Orion XS firmware v1.04 and v1.05 released

We've recently first released firmware version v1.04 and now v1.05 of our Orion XS DC to DC battery charger.

Most importantly, all known and reported bugs are now fixed.

In more detail:

  • Fixed a bug that could cause Error #122 - History data is corrupted, and Error #119 - Settings data lost.
  • Fixed an issue where warning #67, "BMS Connection Lost," was not displayed in the VictronConnect App and other UIs, despite being internally activated. When this warning is active, the charger remains in the "Float" state with a fixed 12V output voltage.
  • Removed auto equalisation support. In previous firmware versions, equalisation was performed every charge cycle when enabled, which could harm the battery. Now, only manual equalisation is supported, and it is disabled by default.
  • Enabled VE.Smart Networking configuration over VE.Direct, allowing customers to set up, enable, or disable a Bluetooth network remotely without needing a direct BLE connection.
  • Further internal stability improvements

How to install this update?

For systems connected to the VRM Portal, the recommended method is to use the VRM Remote firmware update feature. Refer to the detailed instructions to learn how to do that. For more information on the VRM Portal, see here.

For any other systems, we recommend to install the update over Bluetooth, using the VictronConnect App.
