Venus OS v3.31 - various improvements

Good afternoon,

Just now released, Venus OS v3.31, brings various stability improvements as well as an update of Signal K Server:

  • Fix a bug that can cause the onscreen UI to show a green square as well as Remote Console locking up. This issue was introduced in v3.30.
  • Fix EVCS firmware updates over VRM failing on fast network connections.
  • Signal K Server is updated from v2.5.0 to v2.7.1. Signal K Server is an optional feature of the GX device, often used to get NMEA2000 AIS and Navigation data on a boats WiFi network to be used there by popular apps like Navionics, iSailor, iNavX, Aqua Map and WilhelmSK. How to install this update?

For systems connected to the internet, there are two different methods:

  • On the VRM Portal, go to Device List and there use the Update firmware button at the bottom.
  • On the GX Device, or Remote Console go to Settings -> Firmware.

And for systems not connected to the internet:

  • Use a SD-card or USB stick. The so called "off line update method".
