Phoenix VE.Direct Inverters 48V in stock

Since a few weeks already, we have stock of the new 48V models. Which completes the range, as the 12V and 24V models have already been in stock several months. The full range comprises of six models:

· Phoenix Inverter 250VA in 12, 24 and 48 Volt version

· Phoenix Inverter 375VA in 12, 24 and 48 Volt version

Currently only models with IEC and Schuko outlet are available. Extra models with AU/NZ and UK outlets follow in the future, see E-Order for expected availability.

New 25A Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter

With this new model we now have a range of two models:

· 25A Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter

· 50A Buck-Boost DC/DC Converter

They are used to charger 12 and 24V services batteries in modern vehicles that have an intelligent alternator. These alternators can reduce their output voltage when the start battery is fully charged, and therefore a DC-DC converter is essential for charging the service battery properly.

See blog-post and product page on our website for more information.

New: LiFePO4 battery 12,8V 300Ah–BMS

A new sibling in the family. See E-Order for expected availability. The full range now comprises of a 60Ah, 90Ah, 160Ah, 200Ah and 300Ah battery. Note that we have been having supply issues on the 60Ah and 90Ah model. Please do be assured that we are working very hard to get them in stock as soon as possible. Our apologies for inconvenience caused.

Color Control GX issues

I am sorry to report that we currently have two new issues in the Color Control GX. Both will be solved as soon as possible with a new release:

1. (wifi issue, exacte tekst volgt nog)

2. CCGX Genset start/stop function bug when `On loss of communication` is set to `Keep running`
Details: the generator start/stop “On loss of communication” functionality wrongly reports a communication loss when the “Keep generator running” option is selected. The generator will continuously run, even when there are no communication issues. The next CCGX firmware release will fix the issue, meanwhile it is recommended to switch to “Stop generator” or “Start generator” option. “Stop generator” is the default setting. This issue was introduced in the latest version, v1.36.

Victron & Open Energy Monitor (EMON)

At Great Lakes Energy they love Victron products. Through 10 years of delivering off-grid solar power systems in Rwanda they have learned that the key to providing reliable energy in off-grid solar sites is remote monitoring. They’ve been using several tools to accomplish this task, including the Victron Color Control. However, sometimes they have to work with sites that have non-Victron equipment installed and for these sites they’ve found that the Open Energy Monitor (EMON) is a great tool. Continue reading

Victron Energy training in the Republic of Benin

Education and training are key to understanding and installing Victron Energy products. Usually this involves training Victron Energy distributors and dealers, but in the Republic of Benin they have taken this one step further by providing education and training within the general populous. This is particularly relevant in Benin where solar systems play a key role in the country’s energy needs. Learn more
