New dashboard launched for VRM
The dashboard for the Victron Remote Management portal has been completely re-imagined.
Combining a diagrammatic presentation of the installation with historic information it now presents the data in real time, updated every two seconds.
- Familiar schematic presentation
- Dynamic live data for Loads; Charging; Grid Feed/Draw; Tank levels etc
- Detail is amplified when cursor ‘hovers over’
- Battery charge cycle Bulk/Absorbtion/Float shown
- Cumulative Consumption/Production/Grid feed for selected period
- Local Temperature Time and weather
For more information read the blog post, for more details, see the manual and watch the introduction video on our new VRM Dashboard.
Which Solar Panels Perform best?
Ever wondered which type of PV panel offers the best output?
We wondered that too! So, we decided to carry out our own impartial test. We installed four types of panels, outdoors, making sure the installations were identical in every way. The test has been running for six months and will continue indefinitely. You can view the live data, and see the total power harvest which has accumulated over time.
For more information read the blog post.
miniBMS is now called smallBMS
From now the name of the miniBMS is changed to smallBMS. The article code has remained the same: BMS400100000. All documentation has been updated as much as possible.

NICE TO KNOW
Energy Container
The company likes a steady hand at the helm – their CEO retired recently at the age of 90 – and with the new CEO Joachim Czabanski came the idea of developing a containerised power system which could be drawn from stock, on demand, flown to site, and deployed in an hour by non-technical individuals who have no tools.
Battery powered boating fun
After 28 months of research and design in Germany the Turkish-built watercraft Voly and Volx are proving to be popular holiday destination get-afloats. Easy to drive, with its joystick control, the Volx is already proving popular with hotels, beach clubs and watersports centres and privately as well.
49erFX – sailing the fickle wind
They say you need a certain amount of luck when you race yachts on a lake. The wind may arrive suddenly, or change direction, or not come at all.
We at Victron Energy always like to follow our sponsored Dutch teams – how did they do?
Who is Henrik Nilsson
We continue our ‘Who is?’ series.
Our Sales Manager for Sweden, Henrik Nilsson introduces himself.
Hej from Sweden!
3 months alone at sea – Row Lia Row!
Record Breaking Pacific Ocean Rower
Briton Lia Ditton has set a new women’s world record for rowing solo from San Francisco to Hawaii. The 40-year-old made landfall on the island of Oahu after an 86-day ordeal breaking the previous record of 100 days.
Victron Energy is proud to have played a small part in Lia’s epic journey. We have complete admiration for Lia’s drive, and her determination to push back the boundaries.
Off-grid Reggae studio
The hills are alive with the sound of music
The Swiss musician singer/songwriter Dodo has been working remotely – 2500m above sea level in the Grimsel Pass, in the Swiss Alps.
His solar powered mobile studio allows him and co-producer Marco ‘Big J’ Jeger to work on the new album whilst enjoying some pretty spectacular scenery.
In the video Dodo lets us know that Victron Energy have provided the power supply for his off-grid recording studio.
