New products on E-Order. Jono made a new video for you - it's called: Raymarine & Victron Integration. Sign up for the webinar on Smart rural electrification with Fronius. There is a blog about Impossible Robotics 2020 with a Star Wars themed challenge, one about the Victron training in Chile and California, a third about sophisticated hybrid generators, and a speed skating blog highlighting all the successes of Gewest Fryslan. Make sure you check the list of updated documentation, dates for our training events and exhibitions.

Winter upgrades to sailing yacht Pilgrim
It’s that time of year in the UK, when many a boat is hauled out and their owners upgrade and maintain their systems. Victron video producer Jonathan Cecil recently took a trip to Whitehaven Boatyard in Cumbria to see Chris Dobson of UK Marine Electronics Ltd. – and in so doing produced a fascinating instructional video.

Webinar: Smart rural electrification with Fronius and Victron Energy
This webinar provides an insight into the successful track-record of Fronius and Victron Energy compatibility in the field of rural applications. Besides reviewing traditional layout possibilities, Fronius experts will discuss the priorities when considering the parameters of concrete system designs; and correct installation and commissioning processes. At the end of the webinar a Victron expert will join live to review Fronius/Victron synergies from a different perspective - and provide an overview of our ideas for the future.
So join us for this webinar on February 17th, or February 20th at 4 p.m. CET. To register, follow this link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/5853473754771937291?source=Victron

NICE TO KNOW
Impossible Robotics 2020 – Star Wars themed challenge
Impossible Robotics – a team of fifteen Dutch engineering students – have accepted this year’s challenge from FIRST inspires.
Every year a new game is revealed by FIRST – a not-for-profit organisation which nurtures young engineering talent all around the world. Last weekend Impossible Robotics began building their robot, they now have six weeks to complete it to competition standard.
Victron Energy training in the Americas
Chile & California
Victron training isn’t something we report on regularly here, as there are simply too many events – which would tend to monopolise the Victron Energy blog pages.
Regardless, we have a photographic flavour from afar of recent events – just to show you training is worldwide and not simply in Europe.
Sophisticated Hybrid Generators
Ideal for onshore wind turbine installation and commissioning
Rune Eilertsen, Managing Director of Hybridgenerator ApS in Denmark, certainly knows how to grasp a good idea and implement it.
Whilst many companies use Victron Energy Inverter/Chargers supplied by battery systems to provide power during low load diesel generator periods, when not running at more engine and environmentally friendly full generator loads – Rune decided there was a better way to do things.
Read the blog to learn more about the result.
Ice Cool Performance
European Championship highlights
Together with team mates Ireen Wüst and Antoinette de Jong, Melissa Wijfje secured a win for the Netherlands in the Team Pursuit event of the European Championships which were held in Thialf, Netherlands. They beat Russia and Belarus to secure victory.
