Venus OS v2.40 to v2.42 released: Fixing BYD communications and more

On December 11th, we released Venus OS v2.40. It adds the long awaited NMEA 2000-out function, Solar Irradiation metering, various new monitoring & control features for Multi & Quattros, support for a new managed battery: the Discover AES from Canada, and simplifies installation for BYD batteries by automatically enabling DVCC and disabling SVS.

VIC – ESS turnkey power container

A biogas plant producing 500kVA has found that the most cost-effective method of providing its own machinery with power is by using solar energy.
It is more profitable to sell 100% of the energy it produces to the grid and to install a containerised solution to supply its own power needs in the form of a VIC – Sonnenspeicher VIC-ESS energy container.

Catch-up on ice…

Sanneke de Neeling has gained her first World Medal as an individual in the 1000m event of the World Cup Skating races which took place last weekend in Nagano, Japan. She finished in a time of 1.14.89.
De Neeling’s performance gives the Dutch skaters something to smile about at a competition which did not bag the number of medals they have become used to bringing home.
