Multi and Quattro configuration with VictronConnect

Making things simpler: VictronConnect can now be used for basic Multi and Quattro configuration as well as for firmware updates. Also, VE.Bus firmware 460, a new VEConfigure and Venus OS v2.33 have been released. VictronConnect 5.8 – adds inverter/charger settings and more

Today is an important milestone in our ongoing quest to simplify working with Victron products; whilst not giving up versatility.
VictronConnect can now be used to:

Update firmware of our inverters and inverter/chargers that have a VE.Bus communication port, such as Multis and Quattros.
Configure basic systems: consisting of a single inverter or inverter/charger without needing any Assistants, such as the ESS Assistant.

Both features require the use of a MK3-USB.

VE.Bus firmware 460, VEConfigure and Venus OS v2.33

Many releases, one blog post. Venus OS v2.33 is simple: it contains a change necessary for Remote VEConfigure to work properly with the latest version of VE.Bus firmware (version 460). For information on how to update your GX Device to Venus OS v2.33, see their update instructions.
Now, let’s discuss the real changes. Last week we released the new version of the VE Configuration tools, and just now VE.Bus firmware 460 was released. Together they bring various welcome features.
