MPPT Firmware v1.42 released
This release changes the rotary switch lithium pre-set to a fixed absorption time of 2 hours. Also it fixes issues resulting out of -temporary- drops in the PV Power, for example when the array is mounted on top of an RV that drives under over-passes or gas stations. There are many more changes, see the changelog.
Note that the firmware is not yet shipping with VictronConnect yet; this will take at least an extra month. Until then, it is available to install using the VRM Remote Firmware update mechanism. And also, the firmware files can be downloaded from Victron Professional and its dropbox.

TU Delft Solar Boat Team – crowned World Champions at Monaco
During the Solar & Energy Boat Challenge 2019, at Monaco, the TU Delft Solar Boat Team became the World Champion Solar Boat racing Team on the open sea.
The event took place on July 5th and 6th, and the TU Delft student’s success was all the more remarkable because they are the first Dutch team to race on the open water in a solar boat; and also because their attempt was hampered by setbacks which would have ended the dreams of a less dedicated team.
Thailand micro grid fills Redflow ZBM2 with Victron Energy
Ten Redflow ZBM2 zinc-bromine flow batteries are storing energy to provide Ban Pha Dan, a village in the mountainous north of Thailand, with electricity. This village is surrounded by a wildlife reserve where power poles are forbidden. Thanks to TSUS who installed the flow batteries and Victron equipment.
