VictronConnect 5.7 released / Next week: Intersolar Europe

Next week the Intersolar Europe 2019 is in Munich, we hope to see you there. Yesterday we published a blog post that shows the main new product launches. VictronConnect has been updated. There is a video explaining the new features, amongst which the new trends feature. Also there is a blog with a tech tip regarding VictronConnect, firmware updates and the requirement of Internet. Intersolar Europe 2019 in Munich, Germany

Intersolar Europe 2019 is almost upon us and will be held at Neue Messe München from May 15-17, 2019.
As ever Victron Energy will be exhibiting. Our stand this year is number B2.480, where many new and updated products will be on display. Four key new products and one new product range are:

VictronConnect updates

Our USA customers can now see all temperatures in Fahrenheit rather then Celsius. And, there is a new data graphing feature, called Trends, which has been very positively responded to in Community and the App stores. Watch the video. What about 5.5, 5.6 and 5.7 you may think? Indeed, we made a few mistakes in the v5.5 release. And had to fix that in two extra version. Care is being taken do a better job next time. For details, see the VictronConnect changelog.

 

Tech Tip: Firmware updates with VictronConnect

If you use VictronConnect you might assume that you need an internet connection to update compatible products. To reassure those that have asked about this – it is not the case and here is why:
All firmware files are already bundled with the app, so as long as you have the latest version of the app – you have the latest firmware.

Dutch Sailing Triumph

By the final ‘medal’ race of the Genoa event it was still far from clear who the medal winners would be – but Dutch team Odile van Aanholt, and Marieke Jongens had notched up consistently fast performances in the conditions.
And win Gold they did! Many congratulations to Odile and Marieke.

 

Sponsorship and the Victron Van

Based in the Netherlands it’s not surprising that Victron Energy sponsor two of their national passions – speed skating and pro cycling. Sponsorship doesn’t stop there though and it’s not all about marketing; some of it is simply because they are worthwhile and laudable events or projects.
