Venus OS v2.22 – Octo GX & small fixes

We’ve released a new version of Venus OS – the software which controls the Color Control GX, Venus GX and Octo GX.
Most importantly, Version v2.22 marks the completion of the new Octo GX.

Victron has signed a partnership agreement with Hiber

We have signed a partnership agreement with Hiber to trial low-cost satellite-based monitoring for very remote systems. It’s extremely valuable to be able to monitor even small installations remotely, at reasonable cost, when they are located far from all the usual communication networks - such as cellular.

New product: Octo GX – a member of the GX Product Family

The Octo GX is a Venus-device and a member of the GX Product Family, which consists of the Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX and the CANvu GX.
The new Octo GX is the best fit for installations that have many MPPT Solar Charge Controllers, as it has 10 VE.Direct ports.

VictronConnect now with Smart Lithium battery update

The recently released version of the VictronConnect App now includes an update for Victron Energy’s Lithium Smart batteries (12.8V & 25.6V). The update (via the app) now wisely disables battery-charging when the battery cell temperature is below 5 degrees C - as charging at lower temperatures accelerates battery degradation.
