Looking back on the METS

We look back on a very successful METS 2018. A new accessory now offers the IP65 charger even more protection; and there is a blogpost Losing Sight Of Shore with film trailer.  And of course we have our list of updated documentation, training and exhibitions for you.

METS 2018: Marine success

Last week the annual METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show) was held in Amsterdam. As always we were present, and our products were featured on many other stands too. Here’s a reflection on the 2018 show.

IP65 Charger – now with even more protection

The IP65 charger is already protected from the environment – dust, and even sprayed water – but now there is an accessory which will protect it from accidental damage, too. The rubber bumper snaps into place around the charger, cradling it, and protecting it from the scratches, bangs and knocks it receives in normal use around the workshop.

NICE TO KNOW

Losing Sight of Shore – The film

‘Losing sight of shore’ follows the extraordinary journey of four brave women known as the Coxless Crew that set out to row the Pacific Ocean from America to Australia - unsupported. They rowed over 8,000 miles during nine months at sea, overcoming extreme mental and physical challenges in order to achieve their goal, and take their place in history.

Victron sponsored part of the solar system onboard and that system failed. Thanks to teamwork, everything was sorted and the girls set out once more across the Pacific.

This is a story of perseverance, friendship, and the power of the human spirit.
