Released today, SmartSolar MPPT RS 450/100 and 450/200 firmware v1.33 adds error #41 "PV isolation failure" to the GX device and the VRM Portal if the isolation resistance drops below 100kΩ. Previously, the PV isolation resistance value could only be monitored via the VictronConnect app. The VRM Portal notifies the user via an alarm, which can be set up as an email notification as well.
The firmware update does not change your PV installation and does not replace the regular inspection and maintenance of your PV installation. A PV Isolation Fault warning can have a temporary cause, such as moisture, or a structural cause, such as damaged PV cables. In case of a PV Isolation Fault warning please have your PV installation inspected by a qualified installer as soon as possible.

How to install this update?
- The update is available for download from Victron Professional and the Victron Professional-linked Dropbox folder. It can also be installed remotely via the VRM Portal.
- For VictronConnect, the file can be downloaded from Victron Professional and added manually to the app.
