The Comp ID (Compatibility ID) ensures units operate correctly when connected in parallel on the same phase.

Previously, units sharing the same ID (for example, 2617) could be paralleled without further distinction. A recently updated format now includes an additional letter, such as 2617_B. This letter defines compatibility within the same phase, and units connected in parallel must now have the same Comp ID, including the letter.

When this matters

• Replacing a failed unit (RMA)
• Expanding an existing system

Process

For replacing a failed unit or expanding an existing system in parallel set-up, please work with your distributor to ensure that all units operating in parallel within that phase have an identical Comp ID, so they work effectively together. Where required, your distributor can provide replacement units for the full system to ensure all units share the same Comp ID.

Please always check the full Comp ID, including the letter, before installing or combining units in parallel systems.
