The Multi RS and Inverter RS series have received three recent firmware updates (v1.30, v1.31 and v1.32), bringing new features, performance improvements and fixes. Notably, v1.32 fixes the energy counters on the Multi RS 48/6000, which are used by the forecasting algorithm behind Dynamic ESS, improving the Dynamic ESS performance.
Key updates
- Improved the grid charge restriction for Germany (§14a EnWG); the Multi RS now uses all available AC PV inverter power to charge the battery (Multi RS, v1.31)
- Fixed energy counters on the Multi RS 48/6000, improving the accuracy of the forecasting algorithm and, in turn, Dynamic ESS performance (Multi RS 48/6000, v1.32). Note that this requires updating to Venus OS v3.79.
- Added setting 'do not restart after a short circuit' for Inverter operation, VDE 2510-2 (Inverter RS and Multi RS, v1.30)
- Adjusted the inverter start-up test sequence to address spurious error #56 (Inverter RS and Multi RS, v1.30)
- Prevent full system shutdown in three-phase/parallel setups when a single unit shuts down due to a protection (Inverter RS, v1.30)
- Added support for the new energy meter VM-3P5A (Multi RS, v1.30)
- Updated managed battery support, merging functionality from the GX, and added support for VoltSmile batteries (Multi RS19, v1.30)
