We are pleased to introduce the GlobalLink 530, the latest addition to our remote monitoring range, building on the success of the GlobalLink 520.

Like the 520, the GlobalLink 530 includes a 5-year prepaid SIM card, extendable after expiry, ensuring continuous remote monitoring through our VRM Portal without the need for extra contracts or configuring SIM cards.

GlobalLink 530 vs GlobalLink 520

The difference between the GlobalLink 520 and GlobalLink 530 is their cellular connectivity.

The GlobalLink 520 uses LTE-M, a low-power cellular technology designed specifically for IoT applications. While LTE-M is an excellent fit in supported regions, its availability is limited in many parts of the world.

The GlobalLink 530 uses standard 4G LTE connectivity—the same network technology used by smartphones—and also supports 2G as a fallback where available. This provides broader global coverage and greater deployment flexibility.

For most countries, including Canada, the GlobalLink 530 is the recommended choice due to its wider network compatibility. The exception is the United States, where the GlobalLink 520 remains the recommended model, as the GlobalLink 530 is not certified for use on US cellular networks. 

The maps below show the coverage for both models, using the telecom provider of the supplied sim card, 1nce. For countries and areas with poor 1nce network coverage, it is also possible to replace the pre-installed sim card and use a custom one instead.
