SolarSense 750 - Wireless PV performance monitor

SolarSense 750 is a self-powered, wireless sensor that gives you direct insight into what your PV installation could produce via the VictronConnect App, VRM or Node-RED. By measuring solar irradiance, estimated PV power, and panel temperature in real-time, SolarSense helps you understand and make better use of available solar energy.

Key features

  • Measure the potential of PV arrays
  • Easy mounting on PV systems
  • Works with VictronConnect
  • Node-RED scripts available for automation and advanced monitoring

Available data

  • Irradiance
  • Available power
  • Estimated daily min/max solar power (kW)
  • Estimated daily yield (kWh)

Typical Applications

In off-grid or grid-limited systems, excess PV energy is often not used once batteries are full. With SolarSense 750, even if PV production has been throttled, the potential PV is now available via VRM, VictronConnect or for use in Node-RED.Potential PV can be used to decide when to switch on discretionary loads or compared with actual production to help assess system performance, spot issues such as shading or faults requiring maintenance.

When PV power is being limited, SolarSense provides an indication of how much solar power is available for opportunity loads, such as water heaters or other appliances.

SolarSense 750 can also be used as a pre-sales pilot device to measure solar yield across different locations, panel orientations, and seasons, which is useful when designing and optimising PV installations. It is a plug-and-play solution to gain real insight into PV performance and make better use of available solar energy.
