Victron Energy 2-Day Installer Hands-on Training - hosted by Off-Grid Power Systems
Organizer: Saul CharlesworthThis two-day training event will allow experienced installers to construct, commission, and troubleshoot several Victron Energy system configurations. The curriculum includes both mobile and stationary installations, each with two inverters to gain experience with VE.Bus inverter grouping in a split-phase installation. In addition, there is a working grid-connected three-phase system that powers our shop and a working off-grid split-phase system with an autotransformer in our solar trailer.
While the three-phase system cannot be modified since our building depends on it, attendees can check out the configuration settings and learn about using Victron products in three-phase scenarios. The split-phase system in the solar trailer can be modified if any attendees want experience configuring a larger system than the regular training stations. The solar trailer has both DC-coupled and AC-coupled solar for anyone who would like to configure PV string inverters or microinverters along with DC-coupled solar in a Victron system.
All training stations and the solar trailer include Victron Energy Smart Lithium battery banks. The shop three-phase system utilizes Pytes Energy 48V batteries that are supported by, and communicate with, a Victron GX device. If you want experience configuring third-party batteries with CANbus communication and DVCC, then please make sure to let us know at the beginning of the first training day.
Our training program is geared towards experienced Victron Energy installers and dealers. If you have no experience installing Victron equipment, then you may be frustrated because this hands-on training seminar assumes you have already installed at least one Victron system. However, if you have solid electrical and/or electronics experience AND complete the prerequisite training, then you may find this training session useful.
End-users will be placed on a waitlist to give priority to dealers and installers. If we cannot accommodate you for this training, your registration fee will be fully refunded.
Please note: The $250 registration fee will be credited back to any dealers or installers with commercial accounts open with Off-Grid Power Systems. This applies to current dealers or new dealers that sign up with us after this training session. This effectively makes the training cost per attendee free. This credit is limited to two attendees from each dealer/installer. For example, if a dealer/installer sends four students to our training, $500 will be credited to your commercial account.
