EV Charging Station v1.27 - Overload protection and Date & Time configuration

The new firmware v1.27 with many new features has been released for the EVCS and EVCS NS:

New features:

  • Overload protection reads an 'Overload' state from the inverter and reacts by reducing the current to minimum or stop charging. The overload warning remains visible until the car is reconnected.
  • Added Date & Time configurations (daylight saving time processed automatically). The new Date & Time configuration is now also part of the first setup procedure via web interface.

Improvements:

  • Scheduler scene intersection checking is only performed when the scene is activated. This allows users to first configure and then decide which scenes should be activated/deactivated.
  • Added warning for scheduled mode if local date/time is not synchronised.
  • If the GX data is outdated, the EVCS will not change the charging current in auto mode. In this case, the current remains the same until no new data is received by the GX device or it detects that connectionto the GX is lost.
  • Added additional case to start charging when there is no PV power and backup battery has maximum SoC.
  • The 'Start SoC' parameter no longer has an effect on stopping charging in Auto mode.
  • During the charging stop, the current value is reduced to the minimum.
  • FW update performance and stability improvements.
  • System performance and stability improvements.

Bug fixes:

  • Fix incorrect sending of actual data to the VictronConnect APP.
  • Fix an incorrect Modbus-TCP Server behaviour in case of multiple client connections.

How to update?

This product can be updated in two ways:

  • Update remotely over the internet via our VRM Portal. It requires a GX device, such as a Color Control GX, Venus GX, Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX to be part of the installation.
  • Update over the internal web interface (available from v1.22). Open the internal web interface, go to Settings -> Backup&FW -> FW Update. Click the ‘Open’ button and select the '*.evcsup' file. Click the 'Update' button and wait until the update procedure finishes
